IS Gloves on Grass CLUB OWNED?

Gloves on Grass Goalkeeping stands out because we are an independent goalkeeper training and development program, not owned or operated by any soccer club. This allows us to provide a specialized focus on goalkeepers of all ages and skill levels, offering personalized development opportunities both on and off the field.

WHERE DOES GLOVES ON GRASS TRAIN? â€‹

Our goal is to be in our own facility within 3 years, as we look to build our client base we will be using local fields in San Antonio

Currently Gloves on Grass has several training fields that we can operate out of in San Antonio Texas

- Westover Hills Church *Primary Location*

MAKEUP SESSIONS?

Gloves on Grass does not provide refunds for missed sessions. A Makeup session will be offered as long as the player/parent has given notice at least 72 hours prior to the session. This helps us prevent spots being taken from other players interested in attending, and allows us to fill that spot again.

EMBRACE MESSY LEARNING

All  GOG coaches are expected to follow our own golden rule, which is to prioritize development and Embrace Messy Learning. This means that all coaches will see the goalkeepers as their own individual, and allow them to explore their own development pathway.

CREATE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT

This not only means teaching the goalkeeping basics to help them understand how to protect themselves while making saves, but the acceptance and inclusion that comes with creating an environment where every individual can thrive.

RESPECT ALL PARTICIPANTS

Preparation and success of each GOG training session and event does not start and end with the coach. Our coaches are expected to have the ability to have both on-and-off field open conversations with both training goalkeepers and their parents when necessary.

HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT

GOG coaches should be seen as mentors for any of all or our training goalkeepers, and be a resource for any of our goalkeeper families. The expectation is each goalkeeper leaves a session or camp with a positive experience with their coach, and if the family has a questions that the coach is not able to answer - that coach will find a way to get them in front of someone who does have the answer!

NO CLUB RECRUITING

GOG prides itself as an organization on being a neutral youth soccer program that welcomes all goalkeepers and their families from any youth club or playing level. It is no secret that many of our coaches do work with different clubs and college programs, however, if a GOG coach is found to be attempting to communicate and recruit GKs to their own program through any GOG events, sessions or communications, disciplinary actions will be taken. Parents are allowed to approach coaches about club or college on their own accord.
